Asymmetrical Lines

I have a LOT of gray & black in my closet. I paired a crop top from Zara with this skirt from Urban Outfitters.

I LOVE the asymmetrical hem on this skirt.

Floppy hats are perfect for summer. I found this black one at Kmart for only $8!

I accessorized with cut-out booties and a slouchy leather bag from Steve Madden.

For jewelry, I'm wearing my favorite studs & some midi rings with a hand chain from Aldo.

Turquoise + Lots of Gold

I absolutely LOVE jumpsuits. They're so versatile! This turquoise one from Strawberry was only $25 (HOLLA)

I accessorized with lots of gold jewelry.

I threw on some chunky heels & my favorite snake-print clutch.

Black on Black + A Pop of Burgundy

Black on black ALWAYS works. I found this great blouse with the shoulders cut out at Express.

I also have these great black jeggings that I got at Marshalls. Super comfortable!

I love adding a statement piece to really simple looks, like this amazing hat. I found it in my dad's closet. (Can you believe it's vintage Byblos?)

I threw on a simple pair of cut-out booties & added a small black bag from Zara.

For the jewelry, I'm wearing studs and one of my favorite necklaces from Dogeared.

Resort 2015: My Top 5 Collections

It's Resort season! Here are my favorite collections (in no particular order, of course)

Ralph Lauren

This collection gives us classic Ralph, while throwing in a few surprises. Some garments have minimal accents and a preppy undertone, while others look like something out of a French vacation ad (one look includes a navy sweater with a dramatic organza collar and it is AMAZING). We see lots of gold and polka-dots in this collection, which helps keep things light and playful. Accessories included the designer's signature berets and handbags. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Christian Siriano

Towards the end of my internship, I  began to see this collection come together and I KNEW it was going to look great. I love the color palette, consisting of bright pinks and greens. The collection is filled with interesting silhouettes and bold prints (including a fabulous over-sized floral pattern and an evening gown with stunning bead work). Accessories like retro-style sunglasses and chic handbags help bring the looks together. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Erdem

Erdem's resort 2015 collection combines feminine accents with a subtle masculinity. The color palette is filled with navy, white, touches of yellow, and delicate floral prints. The designer gives us a boyish vibe with oxfords and over-sized shoulders. On the other hand, he keeps things light with sheer floral fabric and intricate lace work. This collection perfectly combines "preppy" structures and soft, ladylike shapes. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Cushnie et Ochs

I have always loved Cushnie, simply for the sleek lines and MAJOR sex appeal of all the garments. The latest collection is filled with sharp angles and of course, cut-outs. Hues like safari green, royal blue and bright orange are included to spice up the classic black and white palette. The only pattern used was a leopard print, seen on a teeny-tiny bikini and a chic mini dress and jacket combo. A few pieces had mesh accents, while others had strategically placed seams. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Gucci

Frida has done it again! She has managed to turn Gucci into a completely wearable brand, appropriate for pretty much ANY time of day. The resort 2015 collection consisted of soft pastels like pale yellow and sky blue. To add some flare to the daytime looks, snake-print boots and wide-leg jeans were included. Some stand-out pieces include metallic loafers and a pair of floral printed wide-leg pants. The three gowns at the end of the collection are decorated with a thick silver piping, reminding us that Gucci is still "Gucci." Here are some of my favorite looks:

Royal Blue + Metal Accents

Who doesn't love a good maxi dress? I found this one at Strawberry, it's a great shade of blue with some metal detailing at the neck.

I paired the dress with some simple black sandals from Steve Madden & a snake print clutch from Zara.

I finished my look with some silver midi rings, a leather jacket, and my favorite studs.

Denim on Denim + A Pop of Pink

Very rarely do I pair denim with denim, but I really loved the way this look came together.

I have this great denim shirt (which is a staple that everyone should own) from American Eagle. This shade perfectly matches my jeans.

I got these boyfriend jeans from Zara & they might just be my favorite pair.

I found these great little heels at a shoe store near the place that I interned. The store is called Shoe Freak & it's located on 8th ave between 36th & 37th St. They've got a great selection & AMAZING prices.

My pink bag is from Christian Siriano & I absolutely love the way it looks against the denim.

I added my rose gold Fossil watch & my favorite pair of studs to tie everything together.
