It's Resort season! Here are my favorite collections (in no particular order, of course)
Ralph Lauren
This collection gives us classic Ralph, while throwing in a few surprises. Some garments have minimal accents and a preppy undertone, while others look like something out of a French vacation ad (one look includes a navy sweater with a dramatic organza collar and it is AMAZING). We see lots of gold and polka-dots in this collection, which helps keep things light and playful. Accessories included the designer's signature berets and handbags. Christian Siriano
Towards the end of my internship, I began to see this collection come together and I KNEW it was going to look great. I love the color palette, consisting of bright pinks and greens. The collection is filled with interesting silhouettes and bold prints (including a fabulous over-sized floral pattern and an evening gown with stunning bead work). Accessories like retro-style sunglasses and chic handbags help bring the looks together. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Erdem
Erdem's resort 2015 collection combines feminine accents with a subtle masculinity. The color palette is filled with navy, white, touches of yellow, and delicate floral prints. The designer gives us a boyish vibe with oxfords and over-sized shoulders. On the other hand, he keeps things light with sheer floral fabric and intricate lace work. This collection perfectly combines "preppy" structures and soft, ladylike shapes. Here are some of my favorite looks:

Cushnie et Ochs
I have always loved Cushnie, simply for the sleek lines and MAJOR sex appeal of all the garments. The latest collection is filled with sharp angles and of course, cut-outs. Hues like safari green, royal blue and bright orange are included to spice up the classic black and white palette. The only pattern used was a leopard print, seen on a teeny-tiny bikini and a chic mini dress and jacket combo. A few pieces had mesh accents, while others had strategically placed seams. Gucci
Frida has done it again! She has managed to turn Gucci into a completely wearable brand, appropriate for pretty much ANY time of day. The resort 2015 collection consisted of soft pastels like pale yellow and sky blue. To add some flare to the daytime looks, snake-print boots and wide-leg jeans were included. Some stand-out pieces include metallic loafers and a pair of floral printed wide-leg pants. The three gowns at the end of the collection are decorated with a thick silver piping, reminding us that Gucci is still "Gucci." Here are some of my favorite looks:
