As my first official blog post, I would formally like to thank anyone who is reading this. I have thought about this for a long time & finally decided to take action! Here is a brief introduction of myself & the blog I aim to create:

My name is Ludovica (pronounced Loo-Doe-Vee-Kah) & I am a 20 year old college student pursuing a degree in marketing. (I know, marketing....really?) I've had an intense love affair with fashion ever since I could remember. I guess you could say I'm currently in Limbo, trying to pinpoint exactly what position I want in fashion. For a while, I just kept saying "hey, maybe I can be a marketing director at a fashion house someday." Then, I started leaning towards fashion PR. Now, I'm thinking about editing for a fashion magazine. I don't know. I'm pretty sure "uncertainty about the future" is the longest running trend found among college students.

Most of this uncertainty has come from experiencing how the industry works. This semester, I'm interning at Christian Siriano in New York City. My internship has been an eye-opener, to say the least. Don't get me wrong, the people are in no way "fashion robots" or whatever the misconception leads you to believe. They're human beings, but interns are interns for a reason. I attended worked my first fashion show earlier this month. It was complete chaos, but the most glamorous type of chaos you could ever imagine. I had models and celebrities practically surrounding me, not to mention I was able to actually touch some of these beautiful clothes. It was surreal, exciting, terrifying & exhausting all at the same time. I was completely drained at the end of it, but I will never forget it.

I'm sure you're wondering where that blog name came from. To be honest, I've always considered myself to be very thrifty. (I'm sugarcoating, obviously) Of course I dream of owning designer items, but I do believe in being practical. Hence, "Chanel & Coupons" came to mind. I think I chose the perfect time to create a blog, since Paris Fashion Week just started. I plan to review some of my favorite collections from the previous weeks, then hopefully move on to posting some of my best looks. I'm so excited to share my ideas & opinions with you. I hope you like them!

Thanks again,
Ludovica
